The elevation is 3,200 feet above sea level with an elevation change of up to 30 feet throughout the course. The course is named after Texas Tech alum Jerry S. Rawls, who generously donated the majority of the funding needed to make the facility one of the top courses in the nation. Rawls is also the namesake for Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business.
